Have you walked down Market Street on a Monday recently? Well if you have,
and were sober enough to notice, you may have caught a glimpse in the second story windows above
Brewer's Alley. Every Monday evening, from 8:00-10:30pm Rod Deacey is presents a featured songwriter.
Ron Goad is the hose and due to their contacts with major folk and Americana artists they have a great supply for Fredericktonians. The featured songwriter performs for 45 minutes of the evening, with up to 7 other invited songwriters playing three songs each.
This event is made possible with the support of the
Baltimore Song Writers and the
Songwriters association of Washington D.C.
Rod Deacey has worked diligently to bring acoustical music to Frederick for many years. If you remember West Side Cafe (now Jackson's) he was the one who brought us great music there too. Ron Goad serves on the board of directors for the songwriters association of Washington D.C. Songwriters interested in performing are encouraged to contact Ron at (703) 266-7060 or email him MisterGoad@aol.com
The event is free though a basket is passed around for donations to go to the featured songwriter.
There will be no showcase this Monday, April 7th due to the Beer Dinner at Brewers.
